The Z-Spacer is used with our Universal Baseplate when mounting a DSLR or the FS100 camera and using a matte box. The Z-Spacer allows you to mount any matte box and the Z-Focus by rising the camera and moving it forward so the lens mount is over the rods. For the FS100, the Z-Spacer raises the camera to the proper height for the lens to reach a matte box
