Date added: 11/19/2008 The New Broncolor Scoro Pack

Broncolor presents four new flash units: Scoro A2 and Scoro A2S with 1600 J, as well as Scoro A4 and Scoro A4S with 3200 J.

The most important features of the broncolor Scoro A are:

  • The control range up to 11 f-stops in 1/10 and whole f-stop intervals for 3 lamps i.e. from 3200 Ws or 1600 Ws to 3 joules or Ws.
  • The flash output of all 3 lamp outlets can be individually controlled over 10 fstops, just as 3 independent power packs in one housing.
  • The latest software and electronic ECTC (Enhanced Colour Temperature Control) maintain correct colour temperature over the entire control range of all 3 lamp outlets. The colour temperature can be deliberately modified, too.
  • The charging time is short and depending on the unit is only 0.02 s on minimum power and 0.8 s on full power. In <speed> mode, the charging time of the Scoro A2S is reduced to even 0.4 s.
  • The flash duration may be reduced to 1/12’000 s (t 0.5), comparable with 1/8'000 s (t0.1).

The unit is easy to operate: The various menus (e.g. release delays from 0,02 s, number of flashes, storing possibility of 8 different settings etc.) can be selected with the cursor, just as on a PC-screen. The display of the selected output of each individual lamp can be shown in f-stops, joules or percentage. The LCD display information are recallable in 10 languages.

The LCD display and the silicone keypad are illuminated and are easy to read in a dark studio as well as in bright sunlight. The built-in RFS (Radio Frequency Control) receiver allows radio remote control of the power packs. Every power pack function can be controlled from the computer using radio signal, and flashes can be triggered at distances of up to 300 m.

The new flash units are compatible with the Pulso and Unilite lamp assortment, without limitations.

The most important difference of the two series is: Scoro A2/A4 can be optimally operated on mains supplies of 220 – 240 V. Scoro A2S/A4S have a shorter charging time and automatically adapt to the available mains supply of 100 - 240 V.
